I just saw the picture of the mike brown protest and had to just ask is it truly raced based if he did in fact reach for the officers gun? I know that was the officers take on the story and that of course there and 2 different sides to it but if you were an officer and had someone reach for your gun you wouldn't react with force? No matter what color the victim was when an office feels as though his life is threatened, he can react with deadly force if necessary.
I think you are right, that there are always two sides to every story, and it’s likely to be much more complex than we will ever fully understand. My personal feelings are that deadly force is, and always should be, the last possible option. If you were to take the gun out of the equation altogether, a young man would still be alive. I don’t think we can ignore that race-based profiling is a thing, and that many people of color are still singled out, not for who they are, or what they are doing, but because of what they look like, and this is wrong. I think this is a deeper issue we as human beings need to work on, to see the commonality between us, not the differences. Not assume things about someone based on a profile, and even then, not taking actions that have very final consequences unnessesarily. Thats all I’m really saying here.
We have to stop idiots like you.
I’m not really sure what warranted a personal attack on me, however, Anonymous, If you’d been man enough to attach your name, I’d have been happy to have a conversatation about whatever is bothering you. I show my world the way I see it. In my eyes, it’s worth sharing. Hoping you find some peace.
